Steve Zemo's Obituary
Steve Zemo, age 73, died Friday morning April 2, 2010 at his home in Centerville.
Friends may call all day Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM. Cremation will follow visitation. A memorial has been established to the family and may be left at the Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. He was born April 15, 1936 at Rathbun, Iowa the son of Mary Blozavich Zemo. Steve attended school in Rathbun; and retired from Maytag Company in 1984. Steve and Genevieve Spaur were married in Knoxville. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, and St. Mary's Catholic Church. Fishing and hunting were his hobbies and he loved to dance, especially polka's.
He is survived 1 daughter Dayle (John) Tessner of Newton and stepson David (Lisa) Spaur of Melcher. Grandchildren David Tessner of Newton, Brandy, Steven, Catherine, and Curtis Spaur of Melcher, brothers Louis (Wilma) Zemo of Corpus Christy, Texas, Rudy (Jackie) Zemo of Centerville, Tom (Marge) Zemo of Centerville, sisters Helen (Stanley) Beals of Springfield, Illinois Pauline Zemo of Centerville Delores Zemo of Centerville.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Zemo, and stepson Gene Howard.
