Steve Sulser's Obituary
Stephen Duane Sulser, 71 of Mystic passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at his home. Steve was born to Duane & VaLaDee (Elgin) Sulser in Melrose on November 2, 1949. He received his education from Moravia High School, graduating in 1968. On November 14, 1971, Steve was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Henderson in Numa. To this union came three children: Penny, Julie and Brian. Steve operated his farm his entire life. Steve served on the Appanoose County Fair Board for over 30 years, he was voted Fair Dad two times, 1986 and again in 2010. He loved attending sales and auctions, always looking for that good deal of the sale. Steve enjoyed farming, fishing and going to casinos with Barb. Family was most important to Steve, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Barb, children: Penny Exline (Randy), Julie Drew (Wayne), Brian Sulser (Lexi), grandchildren: Cameron Exline (Rachel), Chase Exline (Makenzie), Brittany Exline, Abby Drew, Addison Drew, Maggie Sulser and an uncle, John Sulser (Betty). He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will be in Concord Cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Thomas Funeral Home with the family present from 5-7:00 p.m..
