Steve Gaylord's Obituary
Steve Gaylord, 59, of Centerville, passed away on January 1, 2021 at MercyOne Medical Center in Centerville. Steve was born on April 7, 1961 and was adopted as a young child by Roger and Virginia (Nichol) Gaylord. After graduating from Seymour High School, he was enrolled in the United States Military Reserves. Steve and his longtime companion, Melissa Wilkerson had one son, Jeremy. After Steve and Melissa separated, he was united in marriage to Kim Grover. The couple later divorced. Steve was a longtime truck driver. He drove until his health conditions pushed him into an early retirement. He enjoyed working and tinkering with things and was a pretty decent handyman. Spending time with family and friends was also very important to him. Steve is survived by his mother, Virginia Gaylord; son, Jeremy Gaylord; grandchildren: Bentley and Lexus Gaylord; sister, Joy and his aunts: Sharon and Lisa. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
