Stephen Wayne Spurgeon's Obituary
Stephen Wayne Spurgeon, 67, of Moulton, Iowa passed away on March 7, 2022.
Steve was born to Bobby and Carol (King) Spurgeon on March 25, 1954 in Centerville, Iowa. He attended Moulton-Udell High School, graduating in 1972. Steve was united in marriage to Cheri Hougland in 1978.
Steve worked as a district manager for Bridgestone Firestone and was a supervisor for Wells Manufacturing for many years. He had many exciting hobbies including chainsaw carving, traveling and taxidermy. You could often find him spending time with his family and friends. Steve enjoyed raising his black angus cattle.
Left to cherish Steve's memory is his wife: Cheri Spurgeon, his daughter: Kasey Spurgeon-Brekeen (Dane Blozovich), Two special daughters: Andrea Strachan (Shane) and Sarah Krenz (Wes), Grandchildren: Bryce Brekeen, Victoria Blozovich, Avenley Mortenson, Tristan Strachan, Ledger Krenz, and Deklyn Krenz, siblings: Rita Kirby (Jim), Sally Fenton and Jim Spurgeon (Jama), his cousin and best friend: Jack Ross and numerous extended family and friends. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, his brother: Roger Spurgeon, his daughter: Jackie Spurgeon and his in-laws: Robert and Irene Hougland.
Cremation has been accorded and the funeral service for Steve will take place on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 10:30AM at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville Iowa.
