Stephen Gene Sivetts' Obituary
Stephen Gene Sivetts, age 65, of Centerville, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his home.
Stephen was born on February 17, 1956 in Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Mary Ann ODonnell. He graduated high school with the Class of 1974. He furthered his education at Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, earning his Associates Degree in Diesel Mechanics.
Stephen worked at Rubbermaid in Centerville for 17 years. He then was employed with the United States Postal Service in Centerville for the past five years, which he truly enjoyed, and looked forward to. Stephen enjoyed listening to music, fishing, cooking and reading.
Left to honor Stephens memory are his daughters, Lindsey (Jake Snider) Sivetts of Riverside, Iowa and Emily Sivetts of Centerville; five grandchildren, Archer Herteen, Avery Herteen, Reese Herteen, Will Snider, and Alena Snider, all of Riverside; three siblings, Terry (Mary Ann) Sivetts of Cincinnati, Pam (Roger) Fowler of Cincinnati, and Bill Sivetts of Harvey, Iowa; an uncle and aunt, George (Mary) ODonnell; as well as several extended family members.
Stephen was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann (ODonnell) Evans.
According to Mr. Sivetts wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life get-together will be held from 12:30PM-4:00PM, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at the Cincinnati Community Center in Cincinnati, with lunch being served during this time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family in the care of Emily Sivetts, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
