Stephanie Lynne Dickson's Obituary
Stephanie Lynne Dickson, age 48 of Chariton, Iowa passed away Friday, May 31,2024 in Iowa City, at the University of Iowa Hospital.
Stephanie was born on March 9, 1976 in Centerville, Iowa to Steven Elgin and Marti Hiatt. She graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1994. After high school, she obtained an associate's degree in business management from Maryville, followed by a bachelor's degree from Graceland University. On December 14, 2002, Stephanie was united into marriage with Christapher Dickson.
Stephanie loved spending time with her friends and family, and most importantly her dogs. She was fond of reading books, and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes football fan. Stephanie was someone that could light up any room with her kindheartedness and smile, no matter what was going on. Everyone that knew her also knew she was fierce, and she could put up a fight towards anything.
Left to cherish Stephanie's memory are her parents, Marti (Jim) Mefford, and Steven Elgin; her husband, Christapher Dickson; her children, Michael Edwards, Tym (Dani) McCollum, Kolton (Lorrena) McCollum; one granddaughter, Skarlett; sisters, Heather (Scott) Campney, Jennifer Clark, and numerous other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Max and Betty Hiatt and Sherman and June Elgin.
Per wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will take place Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 10:00AM-11:00AM.
