Stanley Posovich, age 63 of Centerville died Friday, April 13, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
Stanley was born November 27, 1943, the son of Stanley and Rosetta (Wickline) Posovich in Centerville, Iowa. He married Judy Hunt, May 5, 1968 in Centerville, Iowa. Stanley worked for Mott Construction, was in law enforcement and security and later became self-employed doing construction and remodeling. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Judy Posovich; four children, Becky (LeRoy) Milton of Ottumwa, Iowa, Terry A. Posovich of Centerville, Iowa, Beverly (Murphy) Posovich of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Steven M. Posovich of Centerville, Iowa; one grandchild, Jessie Posovich; two honorary grandchildren, Shawayla Seely and Maysha Seely both of Ottumwa; two sisters, Pat A. Breeding of Rathbun, Iowa and Donna Johnson of Ottumwa, Iowa; seven nieces and nephews; eighteen great nieces; thirteen great nephews; sixteen great-great nieces and nine great-great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, June Johnson.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held Tuesday 11:30 AM, April 17, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Ron Will officiating. A prayer service will be held at 6PM Monday evening at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with visitation following until 8:30PM. Burial will be in the Exline Cemetery. A memorial has been established and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544. Condolences may be sent to [email protected]
