Shirley G Williams' Obituary
Shirley Williams, 102, of Unionville, MO went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 30th, 2025. Shirley was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 15, 1923.Following high school, Shirley studied to become a Registered Nurse. Her career led her to work in a Polio Hospital where she herself became a Polio survivor.Shirley was married to Arthur Williams for 56 years prior to his passing in 2003. She supported her husband, a Baptist Pastor, both overseas in Ghana West Africa, and in Home Missions, planting churches.Shirley loved reading her Bible, teaching Bible studies, free-lance writing, gardening, and enjoying her friends and family.She is survived by her son Thomas Williams, (Sandy) of Unionville, MO, son John Williams, (Lori) of Des Moines, IA, and daughter Jane Williams of Unionville, MO, five grandchildren, and great grandchildren.Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Williams, son Peter Williams, parents Brainard and Madeline Grimshaw, sister Thelma Muir, and brother John Grimshaw.Celebration of Life funeral services will be held Saturday April 12th at Midway Baptist Church in Unionville, MO at 11:00am with visitation beginning at 10:00am.Burial will follow at Lupton Cemetery at Lake Thunderhead in Unionville, MO.Memorials in Shirley's honor may be made payable to the Midway Baptist Church (memo: missions) and entrusted to the Thomas Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th St., Unionville, MO 63565
