Shirley L. Ware's Obituary
Shirley Ware, age 80, of Bondurant, Iowa passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Shirley was born November 17, 1929 at Fremont, IA the daughter of Loyd W. Brown and Lula L. Hahn Brown. She graduated high school in 1948 and became a certified teacher. She taught in a one room school house in Fremont. Shirley was raised on a farm near Fremont and later near Eddyville, Iowa. She married Robert Ware in Ottumwa in 1950 and he preceded her in death. Shirley and Robert lived many years in Iconium.
She is survived by 5 children, Rebecca (Richard) Miller of Bondurant, IA, Mike Ware of Centerville, Jan (Jon) Miller of Coal Valley, IL, Jerry (Karen) Ware of Guthrie, OK, and Kendall Ware of Ames, Iowa, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; parents; 2 grandchildren Jessie and Stacy; 2 brothers Mark and Dan Brown, a sister Betty McClain and a daughter-in-law JoAnne Ware.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday afternoon July 2, 2010 at Lange Funeral Home in Moravia with Rev. Kathy Franzenburg officiating. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 2PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery, Moravia. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society and may be left at the funeral home. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com
