Shirley Lou Leyda's Obituary
Shirley Lou Leyda, age 69, of Ottumwa, Iowa died on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa. She was born the daughter of Glen and Velma Marie (Rifenberry) Davison on August 21, 1941 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated from the Moulton Community School in Moulton, Iowa.Shirley was a homemaker and enjoyed watching her family grow.She was preceded in death by: her parents; a son, Rickey Leyda in 1973; and a sister, Leanna Duncan.Shirley is survived by: her daughters, Debra Taylor and her husband, Denny of Bloomfield, Iowa and Angie Nelson and her husband, Judd of Knoxville, Iowa; brothers, Jimmy Davison of Bloomfield, Iowa, David Davison of Hiawatha, Iowa, Jake Davison of Albia, Iowa and Donnie Davison of Fairfield, Iowa; sisters, Carol Davis of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Patty Morgan of Lavonia, Missouri; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 1 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Suzann Vogel officiating. Visitation will start at 11 am with the family on Saturday until the time of services.Memorials contributions may be given in her name and left at or mailed to the funeral home.
