Sheryl Anne Ryan's Obituary
Sheryl Anne Ryan, age 53, of Moulton, Iowa, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville after an extended battle with ovarian cancer. She was born the daughter of Billy C. and Mary (McGee) Long on September 25, 1952 in Centerville. She graduated from the Moulton-Udell Community Schools in 1970.On May 25, 1974, Sheryl was united in marriage to Doran Ryan in Centerville, Iowa, they were later divorced. Sheryl worked as a secretary for Fine oil Company and before becoming a customer service representative for MFA Oil Company in Centerville, Iowa. She was a dedicated member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville.She enjoyed spending time with family, spoiling her grandchildren and vacations. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and was loved for her ever positive outlook on life.She was preceded in death by: her paternal and maternal grandparents.Sheryl is survived by: her parents, Billy and Mary Long of Centerville, Iowa; daughters, Crystal Lee and her husband, Brian of Kirksville, Missouri and Courtney Ryan of Adel, Iowa; sons, Nathan Ryan of West Des Moines, Iowa and Nolan Ryan and his wife, Christa of Moulton, Iowa; Long Time Companion, Steve Flaspohler of Moulton, Iowa; sisters, Suzanne O'Donnell and her husband, Jerry of Moberly, Missouri, Christine O'Donnell of Kirksville, Missouri and Julie Oden and her husband, Brent of Cincinnati, Iowa; brothers, Dennis Long and friend, Sharon Tuttle of Udell, Iowa and Jerry Long and his wife, Reta of Centerville, Iowa; grandchildren, Riley, Kennedy, Jaxson, Xander, Aidan and Ian; her former in-laws, Don and Bea Ryan of Monterey, Iowa.Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, May 22, 2006 at 11:30 am at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa with Fr. Ron Will, CPPS officiating. Burial will follow in the Haines Cemetery north of Centerville.
