Sherri Oden's Obituary
Sherri Oden, 62, of Cincinnati, passed away on April 11, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Sherri was born on July 31, 1956 in Unionville, Missouri to Richard and Margaret (Logston) McClure. Sherri married Paul Oden and to this union, two children were born. The couple later divorced. Following graduation from Centerville High School in 1974, Sherri attended Indian Hills Community College where she studied health and nutrition. She worked as a dietary supervisor for several years. Sherri enjoyed: flowers, gardening, talking on the phone, garage sale shopping with her mom and daughter, watching her son, Cory participate in demolition derbies, going to the casino and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. Sherri is survived by her son, Cory (Sara) Oden; daughter, Chelsea Oden; brothers: Rich (Mary), Rick (Ogie) and Russ (Lisa) McClure; sister, Sandra (Larry) Robinson; grandchildren: Cainen Oden and Maggie Edwards and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Jared Robinson and significant other, Gary Hogg. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Centerville Fire and Rescue and online condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
