Sheila Probasco's Obituary
Sheila Probasco, 79, of Unionville, Missouri, passed away on November 22, 2018 at her residence. Sheila was born on June 11, 1939 in Glendale, Missouri to George J. and Opal (Hanen) McHenry. Sheila was active in sports while attending school in Livonia. After graduating from Livonia High School in 1957, Sheila married Jerry Crooks,to this union a daughter Julie was born. They later divorced and Sheila married Max Probasco and to this union, two daughters were born. Sheila spent most of her live in the Glendale, Livonia, and Shoal Creek area. Sheila loved to go bowling with her father and sister Deloris. In later years she would enjoy the family weiner roasts in the woods with family getting together. Sheila owned and operated her own beauty salon for several years. When Max was transferred to Bloomfield, Iowa, Sheila worked at Gillifian Clinic and Places Store. Upon Max's retirement they moved back to Unionville. There Sheila was employed with Wells in Centerville Iowa. She also enjoyed her gardening and taking care of her grandkids. Her family was always her main focus. She enjoyed cooking for her family members, Sheila loved going to the casino with her sisters Deloris and Carol and niece, Elaine. She was especially proud of the fact that she was able to go to Austin Texas to visit her Grandsons. Sheila enjoyed shopping and spending time with family and friends. Sheila had been in declining health the past few years but it never stopped her from thinking about her family. She always put her family before herself. She will be dearly missed but not forgotten. Sheila is survived by her daughter, Julie Crooks (Otis Richards); grandchildren: Kelly Crooks, Ryan (Ann) Howk, Kyle Howk, Molly (Derek) Knowles, Tyler (Rachel) Martin, Trace (Gracie) Pulliam and Alex (Helena) Pulliam; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Prewitt and many other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max in 2002; daughters: Jo Pulliam and Jill Howk; brother, George E. McHenry and sisters: Evelyn Allen and Deloris Mathes. A private graveside service will be held at McCune Cemetery in Glendale, Missouri at a later date.
