Sharon Kay Snider's Obituary
Sharon Kay Snider, 76 of Cincinnati passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon surrounded by her family.
Sharon was born to Bill & Marie (Clayworth) West on April 23, 1947 in Graysville, Missouri. Sharon received her education from Centerville High School, graduating in 1965. After high school, Sharon was employed at St. Joseph Hospital in Centerville where she would be employed for 47 years, retiring in 2012.
Sharon was united in marriage to Ron Snider on June 8, 1973 at First Baptist Church in Centerville. The two celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last June. To this union were two children, Lori and Kevin.
Sharon and Ron loved traveling and visited numerous places throughout the country. Sharon was a caring and loving person, who loved being around people. She was able to make people laugh and enjoyed helping people as well.
Sharon was fond of working in her yard, mowing, planting flowers and riding her 4-wheeler. She also enjoyed cooking and baking- she loved making Christmas candy for her friends and family.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, Lori Snider (Cory Arduser) and Kevin Snider (Leslie Kehrberg); sister, Mary Warren (Lyle); brothers-in-law, John Cossolotto and David Snider (Dotty); sister-in-law, Bonita Wells (Joel); aunt, Jenny Clayworth; and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John West; sister, Donna Cossolotto; sister-in-law, Martha Snider; and her husband's parents, Bill & Marilyn Snider.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the funeral home with family present from 5:00-7:00 PM.
