Stanley Scott Thomas, 44 passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. His body was donated to medical research. Scott was born on February 20, 1962 in Rock Island, Illinois to Stanley and Leanne (Goodman) Thomas. He graduated from Centerville High School in 1981. After receiving his education Scott enlisted in the Army National Guard for six years. He also worked for Reliable Culvert and Brace Brothers Construction for several years. On August 26, 1989 he was united in marriage to Vicki Wendlend; they would later divorce. Scott was a member of the Eagles Aerie #2675. Scott is survived by his mother Leanne Thomas of Centerville; brother, Steve Thomas(Tammie) of Centerville, brother, Sandy Thomas(Tracy) of Centerville; step daughters, Johnelle Sinnott and Danielle Bohn of Centerville. He is also survived by four grandchildren, five nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Vanesa Lynette Thomas, father, Stanley O. Thomas, grandparents, John and Bessie Goodman and Ben and Eva Thomas. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2008 at Haines Cemetery with Rev.
