Sandra Wood's Obituary
Sandra Wood, age 62 of Cincinnati, Iowa died Saturday August 19, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, IA.
Sandra was born January 15, 1944, the daughter of Roy and Virginia (Devore) Wilmot in Corydon, Iowa. She graduated from Seymour High School in 1963. Sandra married Robert Wood November 23, 1968 at the First Baptist Church in Centerville. Sandra had been employed at Curwood Corporation in Centerville for forty-two years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church. She loved to tend to her garden and take care of her flowers. Sandra loved to read and she enjoyed mushroom hunting with her family and friends.
Sandra is survived by her husband Robert Wood of Cincinnati, Iowa; three daughters, Melissa Wood of Centerville, Ronda (Larry) Peek of Centerville, and Samantha Wood of Centerville; three grandchildren, Miranda Peek, Darien Peek, and Melody Repp all of Centerville; three sisters, Patricia (Larry) Bruce of Des Moines, Iowa, Jackie (Jim) Stewart of Indianola, Iowa, and Marsha (Marvin) Clark of Centerville.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, James and Johnny Wilmot.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Wednesday August 23, 2006 at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Friends may call all day Tuesday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the First Baptist Church, Centerville and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral home, 1900 S 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
