Sandra Sue Gilworth's Obituary
Sandra Sue Gilworth, 70, of Unionville, MO was welcomed by her Lord and Savior on May 24th, 2025. Sandra was born in Putnam County on June 5th, 1954, the daughter of Billy and Jeanie "Lessy" Morris. Sandra was a member of the Unionville First Christian Church where she faithfully attended and loved her Small Bible Study Group. Sandra filled many work shoes, even retiring after 20 plus years from the Putnam County State Bank. She was the decorating queen both inside and outside her home, including her flower gardens. Sandra will always be remembered by her family by the way she cherished them. They were the center of her world here on earth.
Sandra Gilworth is survived by her 3 daughters, Katrina Gatlin and husband Shane of Kansas City, MO; Tracy Alexander and husband Scott of Unionville, MO; and Tiffany Welch and husband Josh of Kansas City, MO. Sandra's surviving grandchildren are Tristen Miller and fiancé Madeline, Tyson Alexander, Taylor and fiancé Lucia, Jake Gatlin, Maddie Gatlin, Skyler Welch, and Aubrey Welch. Sandra's great grandchild is Paislee Alexander. She is also survived by a sister, Janet Schmidt and husband Martin of Unionville, MO; brother Kerry Morris and wife Diane of Goodyear, AZ; sister, Kathy Koska of Liberty, MO; sister-in-laws, Debbie and Colleen; nieces, Ashley and Chrissie; and nephews Bill and wife Karen, Brian, and Jason.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Morris; and brother-in-laws Mike, Ron, and Terry.
Memorials in Sandra's honor may be made payable to the Lucerne Cemetery and entrusted to the Thomas Funeral Home, 709 S. 27th Street, Unionville, MO 63565.
Funeral Services will be held at Thomas Funeral Home in Unionville Friday May 30, 2025 at 11:00 am with visitation from 9:00 am - 11:00 am. Internment will be at the Lucerne Cemetery.
