I had the pleasure of assisting him through Public Health home care.Was independent,strong willed, proud of his children and grandchildren,often spoke of Lincoln in the military.spoke of his own military experiences. One of his hobbies was building a small scale flyer. Enjoyed his little dogs., tractors and tractor pulls.First met Mr and Mrs Closser at their Restaurant "Dairy Barn " back in 1989. I will remember him kindly,May he rest in peace.

So sad Sam was a one of a kind. I have so many memories and stories. Sam is going to be missed but never forgotten. The many stories and memories will live on forever. And you can't drive thru Drakesville past the Dairy Barn without thinking of the time.... Or the story of....my heat goes out to all of you!
I remember when we all lived in Illinois. Had been around Sam and Shirley all my life. Prayers for all family and friends
