Sabrina Joy Higginbottom's Obituary
Sabrina Joy Higginbottom, age 44, of Des Moines, formerly of Centerville and Moulton, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023 at MercyOne Hospital in Des Moines.
Sabrina was born on October 25, 1978 in Red Deer Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Reg and Betty Higginbottom. She graduated from Moulton-Udell High School with the Class of 1997. Sabrina was united in marriage to Keith McMurray Sr. in 2003, and to this union, three children were born, Kelsey, Keith and Ethan. The couple later divorced.
Sabrina lived at Centerville Community Betterment Homes, Luthern Host Homes in Des Moines, and Ability Within Host Homes in Des Moines. She enjoyed going to the movies, playing games on her phone and playing Skipbo with her sons.
Left to cherish Sabrina's memory are her parents, Reg and Betty Higginbottom; her children, Kelsey McMurray, Keith McMurray Jr, and Ethan Graham; her sister, Elizabeth (Andy) Tuttle; her brother, Lanny (Heather) Higginbottom; along with three nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and her special friends, Karla, Nancy and Mary from Des Moines.
Sabrina was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; and two aunts, Marge Johnston and Sue Bergen.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30AM, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, with Pastor Larry Hudson officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville, with the family greeting friends from 5:00PM-7:00PM.
