Ruth Jean Ritter's Obituary
Ruth 'Ruthie' Jean Ritter, age 49, of Cincinnati, Iowa, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Robert Lee Ritter and Mollie Louise (Ervin) Ritter on August 30, 1956 in Centerville, Iowa. She graduated in 1974 from Centerville High School, Centerville, Iowa. She worked for a time at the McGraw-Edison factory and cared for homebound in Centerville, Iowa. Ruthie enjoyed the farm and worked as a forklift operator at Rubbermaid in Centerville, Iowa at the time of her death. Ruthie also enjoyed caring for her family, spending time with extended family, playing cards, watching movies (especially Westerns and comedy with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood), and listening to music.Ruthie was preceded in death by her grandparents, several uncles and an aunt.She is survived by: her parents; brothers Robert 'Bobby' Ritter of Cincinnati, Iowa and Rex Ritter of Exline, Iowa; a sister, Deb Simmons, and her husband, Bruce, of Mystic, Iowa; nephew Ben Ritter and his wife Kristi; niece Shannon Wells and her husband John; nieces Jennifer, Carrie, and Sharon Simmons; great-niece Shelbi Ritter; great-nephew Jesse Wells; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Dianne Christopher officiating. Disposition of the cremains will be held privately by the family.
