Ruth Marie McGinnis' Obituary
Ruth Marie (Scott) McGinnis, age 90, formerly of Seymour, Iowa, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the Renaissance Care Center in Canton, Illinois.
Ruth was born on December 18, 1929 in Franklin, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth (Huffman) Scott. Ruth was united in marriage to Harry Leonard Rogers, and to this union, two children were born, Tom and Gary. Harry passed away at the age of 38. Several years later, Ruth married Fredrick McGinnis. He passed away in the early 1980s.
Ruth was an avid collector of many things throughout her lifetime. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish Ruths memory are her son, Tom Rogers of Seymour; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Ruth Scott; both husbands; and two children, Gary Wayne Rogers and Fredrick McGinnis at birth.
According to Ruths wishes, cremation has been accorded. There are no services planned. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Seymour Fire Department and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
