Ruth Mae Clark's Obituary
Ruth Mae Clark, age 86 of Centerville died Wednesday evening, April 25, 2007 at Golden Age Care Center, Centerville, Iowa.
Ruth was born August 13, 1920, the daughter of Ralph and Esther (Ostland) Holland in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Centerville High School. Ruth married Ned Clark in 1939. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1995. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, cooking, bowling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Ruth is survived by her children, Carol (Larry) Drake of Exline, Iowa, Richard (Sue) Clark of Winterset, Iowa, Jimmie Bill (Rose) Clark of Centerville, Iowa, Claudia (Darrell) Harris of Moulton, Iowa, David (Kelli) Clark of Mystic, Iowa, and Alan Clark of Fort Madison, Iowa; twenty-two grandchildren; and thirty-nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Esther; husband, Ned; children, Ronnie Clark, Gary Clark, and Cynthia Clark; and a granddaughter, Tracey Clark.
Funeral services will be held 1 PM Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Howard Luscan officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa. A visitation will be held Friday with family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the Highland Cemetery Association and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
