Russell Roadenizer's Obituary
Russell Roadenizer, 58, of Seymour, passed away on January 1, 2021 in Seymour due to an automobile accident. Russell was born on September 14, 1962 in Rock Island, Illinois to George and Carole (Taylor) Roadenizer. After graduating Rock Ridge High School, Russell attended a trade school for roofing and welding. He then moved to Moline, Illinois before truck driving opportunities brought him to settle down in Seymour. Russell drove a truck for several years but most recently was employed at East Penn in Corydon. In his spare time, Russell was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed woodworking, helping others and pulling pranks. He would often joke with people in order to make them laugh just to help brighten their day. Russell is survived by his mother, Carole; stepchildren: Dale and Tina Pierce; sisters: Theresa Roadenizer, Robbin (Charles) Heggen and Denise Roadenizer as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, George. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. Interment will immediately follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday, January 11, 2021 with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour.
