Russ Miller's Obituary
Russ Miller, 54 of Centerville died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at his home in Centerville. Russ was born on October 4, 1949 to Herbert R. and Marguerite (Russell) Miller in Manhattan, KS. He married Debbie Farrington in Ottumwa, Iowa on December 30, 1971. He graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1968 and NE Missouri State in 1974. He was a Regional Observer for the National Weather Service, a member of the National Speleological Society, Tea Leaf International, Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association, Iowa High School Football Association and Iowa High School Wrestling Association
Russ is survived by his wife Debbie, three daughters; Angie Terrell and her husband Don of Agency, Ia, Lindsey Miller of Ft. Dodge, Ia, Jenna Miller of Centerville, two granddaughters; Brianne Young and Miranda Terrell of Agency, Iowa; mother, Marguerite Miller of Fall River, Kansas; brother, Ledford Ray Miller of Benedict, Kansas and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Herbert R. Miller.
There will be a visitation held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Thomas Lange Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 3 pm Sunday, September 19, 2004 at the Simon Estes Auditorium at Centerville High School with Pastor Gary Cradic officiating. In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Russ Miller Benefit Memorial which can be left at or mailed to Thomas Lange Funeral Home 1900 South 18th St. Centerville, Iowa 52544. The family has asked Centerville Big Red Colors (Scarlet & Black) to be worn at the service. Condolences may be left at thomaslangefuneralhome.com
