Roy Swan's Obituary
Roy Lynn Swan was born February 22, 1938 on a farm in Wayne County, Monroe Township, Iowa. His parents were Glen and Kathaleen (Buckworth) Swan. He joined a sister, JoAnn. Roy had two children Debbie Lynn and Troy Glen. He served in the U. S. Army. Roy worked in the copper and uranium mines in the West for many years. He often talked about the mines and the equipment that was used. He eventually returned home to help run the family farm. After his parent's deaths he continued to live on the farm for the remainder of his life. Roy enjoyed working with the Amish and had great respect for the Amish. He loved to visit with his friends and neighbors. Roy is survived by his daughter Debbie Carothers, his sister JoAnn Snell and grandchildren Shaun Carothers, Sarah Carothers, Angie Wilson, Amanda Darby and Andrew Swan.
