Roy M. Hamilton's Obituary
Roy M. Hamilton, 85 ,of Mystic, Iowa, died on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Golf View Nursing Home in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Roy was born the son of Ira and Cora Belle (Davis) Hamilton on May 20, 1920 in Mystic, Iowa. He received his education in the Mystic Community Schools.On November 4, 1947, Roy was united in marriage to Margarette Curry in Nicholson, Mississippi. Roy worked for many years as a Motel Manager in Florida as well as being a Tuck Pointer and Painter. Roy served his country during WWII and was a member of the American Legion in Mystic.He is preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Margarette Hamilton on January 7, 1991 and his son, Mark Hamilton on January 12, 2001.Roy is survived by: his sons, Dane Hamilton and his wife, Patty, Curt Hamilton and his fianc, Dana Speake and Scott Morton all of St. Petersburg, Florida.Funeral Service will be held at Schmidt Family Funeral Homes on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Gerald Campbell officiating. Burial with full military honors at the Highland Cemetery in Mystic, Iowa. Visitation will be at Schmidt Family Funeral Homes on Thursday, January 19, 2006 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the family present from 6 till 8 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the family and can be left at or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Roy M.
