Rosetta Woolsey's Obituary
Rosetta C. Woolsey, 83 of Albia, formerly of Exline passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Oakwood Nursing and Rehab in Albia. Rosetta was born to Harry & Amanda Cook in Hannibal, Missouri on March 7, 1932. She received her education from Hannibal High School in 1950. On June 29, 1948, Rosetta was united in marriage to Harold E. Woolsey Sr. The two made their home in Centerville for many years and later moved to Exline. Throughout her life, Rosetta worked as a nurse and also worked for a time at the Laundry Foundry in Centerville. She was always willing to help others, sometimes at her expense. Rosetta was an avid CB user for years. Her CB handle was "Dutches". She also enjoyed gardening, watching animals play, camping and trucking with her husband Harold and time spent with her family and friends. Survivors include, children: Harold Woolsey Jr. of Kansas City, Missouri, Jewel Stone of Kansas City, Missouri, several grandchildren, brother, Paul Cook (Mary) of Centerville, several great nieces including, DeEtta Yerington of Albia and Dawn Wages of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Woolsey Sr., sister Goldie King and niece, Gloria Wages. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Visitation will be 1 hour prior from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
