Rosella Marie Holland's Obituary
Rosella Marie Holland, age 91, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2019 at MercyOne Medical Center, Centerville.
She was born May 13, 1928 in Bonaparte, Iowa, the daughter of Wilbert Donald "Don" and Hazel Marie (Mitchell) Goben. Rosella was united in marriage to William Harry Holland on June 17, 1945 in Mystic, Iowa. William preceded her in death on August 12, 1989.
Throughout much of her life, Rosella was a homemaker. She dedicated herself to her family and took pride in providing a loving environment for her husband and their three children, Bill, Bonnie and Becky. Rosella, at a young age, trusted in and loved the Lord, living her faith and sharing it with her precious family.
Rosella is survived by her three children, Bill (Lynda) Holland of Coatsville, Missouri, Bonnie (Gary) Simmons of Ankeny, Iowa, and Becky Clayworth of Centerville, Iowa; grandsons, Bill (Michelle) Holland of Memphis, Missouri, Jason (Joe) Clayworth of Des Moines, Iowa, Jody (Angela) Clayworth of Centerville, Iowa, and Steve (Katie) Simmons of Ankeny, Iowa; granddaughters, Laura (Nathan) McDonald of Wilton, Iowa, Mary (Wes) Rowland of Unionville, Missouri, Jamie Maddox of Unionville, Missouri, Stacy Marie of New York, New York, and Holly Weisz of Grandville, Michigan; as well as several great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Holland; her parents, Wilbert Donald "Don" and Hazel Goben; and a sister, Donna Tracy.
Friends and family are welcome to attend the graveside funeral service at 11 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Hilltown Cemetery, south of Moulton, Iowa. Pastor Jim Maxey will be officiating.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville, Iowa, with the family receiving friends from 9:30-10:30 AM. A memorial has been established to Samaritans Purse or Giving Hope Ministries (shoeboxes for kids), and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
