Rose Tagliapietra's Obituary
Rose Tagliapietra, age 90, died Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at the Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, Iowa.
Rose was born June 14, 1916, the daughter of George and Margarita (Cora) Lazzaretto in Centerville, Iowa. Rose married Martin Tagliapietra on April 30, 1938 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1989. Rose loved the outdoors and she enjoyed gardening and picking fruit from her trees. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Rose is survived by one daughter; Rose (Bill) Cunningham of Centerville, Iowa, one son; John Tagliapietra of Exline, Iowa, one sister; Jennie Maddalon of Highland Park, IL and two brothers; Valentine Lazzaretto of Lake Forest, IL, John Lazzaretto of Rockford, IL, four grandchildren; Susan (Tony) Rider, Martin (Stacy) Cunningham, Deborah (Mark) Eddy, and Joseph (Latisha) Cunningham, nine great-grandchildren, Troy, Matt, Christina and Dustin Rider, Jocob and Hannah Cummingham, Mallory and Chris Eddy, and Bryce Cunningham, three great-great grandchildren; six nieces and eight nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; George and Margarita Lazzaretto, husband; Martin Tagliapietra, one sister; Mary DalPonte, and one brother; Joe Lazzaretto.
Mass of Resurrection will be held 10:30 AM, Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Centerville, Iowa with Fr. Ron Will C.PP.S officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa. Friends may call all day Friday with family present from 6-8 PM and a Prayer Service at 7 PM at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville, Iowa. A memorial has been established to the St. Mary's Catholic Church and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, IA 52544.
