Rose Johnson's Obituary
Rose Marie Johnson, 62 of Centerville passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Rose was born to Theodore & Mildred (Anderson) Ross on November 7, 1952 in Centerville. She received her education from Centerville High School graduating in 1970. Rose would further her education obtaining an Associate of Arts Degree from Indian Hills Community College in Centerville. Rose was a member of the Open Bible Church in Centerville. She enjoyed researching her family history. Rose was a family first person. She enjoyed time with her family and friends. Rose loved cooking for her grandchildren, she was famously known for her rolls, sugar cookies and sweet tea. Survivors include her mother, Mildred Ross of Russell, Iowa, six children: Tammy Johnson of Centerville, Hiedi Johnson of Centerville, Brian Johnson (Cid) of Centerville, Bridgette Scott (Tim) of Queen City, Missouri, Kim Lowe (Patrick) of Chicago, Illinois, Gib Johnson (Meghann) of Centerville, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, five siblings: Maryann Storbeck (Rick) of Grinnell, Iowa, Tim Ross of Russell, Iowa, William Ross of Russell, Iowa, Sally Houser (Norm) of Centerville, Iowa, Jenny Anderson (Rich) of Chariton, Iowa and many extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Theodore Ross and an infant son, George Henry Johnson III. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home with Dave Rummans officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Haines Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family which will be designated at a later date. Condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
