Ronald Alan Singley's Obituary
Ronald Alan Singley, age 47, of Moulton, Iowa, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on June 14, 1968 in Phoenix, Arizona. His kind and loving parents were William Roland and Lila Roena (Wolver) Singley. He graduated from the Moulton-Udell High School in 1986. Although, Ronald never married and had no children, he assumed the responsibility of a father to David Shondel and Sara Shondel, children of Teri Harmon. He loved them as well as with every child he encountered on his life's journey. After graduation, Ronald worked at the Bloomfield Foundry and Rubbermaid in Centerville, then went to Cargill in Eddyville as a millwright. He would then work the last 9 years for Midwest Covers Pools & Spas for Mike and Joyce Thomas of Centerville, Iowa. He was the ultimate Pool Boy in every way, and he loved his job. Ronald also was an avid gardener and landscaper during his life. He helped with the family farm & doing the mowing of several cemeteries in Washington Township. He was a member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren near Unionville, Iowa. He is preceded in death by: his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Dora Singley; his maternal grandparents, Floyd and Hazel Wolver; also his pet, Atticus, his Poochielou. Ronald is survived by: his parents; Roland and Lila Singley of Moulton, Iowa; his sisters, Brenda Bryant of Moulton, Iowa and Doris Spinler of Ankeny, Iowa; nephew, Loran Bryant of Moulton, Iowa; nieces, Kayla Bryant of Altoona, Iowa, Brittany Spinler of Trenton, Missouri and Amber Spinler of Ankeny, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Sharon Heien officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville from 2 pm until 8 pm with the family present from 6 pm until 8 pm.
