Ronald E. Hayes' Obituary
Ronald E. Hayes, age 72, of Centerville died at home Friday, July 15, 2005.
Ron was born March 15, 1932 to Zimmer and Lucerita Belle (Whitall) Hayes in Centerville, IA. Ron was united in marriage to Patricia Joan Cornett on April 28, 1951 in Centerville, IA. He served in the Iowa National Guard and was employed most of his working life with Reliable Culvert in Centerville. Ron enjoyed wood working in his retirement, especially making furniture for his family.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers, Bueford, Clifford, Wiley, and Wilfred ( in infancy); 2 sisters, Wilma, and Edna Pearl.
Ron is survived by his wife Pat (Cornett) Hayes; 4 children, Helen and husband James Leslie of Milan, MO, Doran and wife Jane Hayes of Centerville, IA, John and wife Cindy Hayes of Bethany, MO, Dennis and wife Melissa Hayes of Cheyenne, WY; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Wilbur and Bert Hayes; 2 sisters, Olive Sleeth and Janice Hayes.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday morning, July 19, 2005 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. Friends may call Monday with the family present from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dale Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to the Dale Cemetery and may be left or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
