Rollie Stickler, 66 of Numa passed away Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Rollie was born on March 23, 1942 in Confidence, Iowa to Gail & Georgia (Shiltz) Stickler. He received his education from Centerville High School in 1961. Rollie married Marge Micetich on September 26, 1964 in Numa, Iowa. He was a lineman with GTE Telephone Company in Centerville until his retirement in 1991. Rollie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville and was a 3rd Degree Knight. He enjoyed NASCAR (Dale Earnhardt), hunting, fishing, baseball and time spent with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Rollie was a lifetime Los Angeles Dodger fan. Rollie is survived by his wife Marge of Numa; two daughters; Marlene Mitchell of West Des Moines, Michelle Kauzlarich (Jeff) of Numa; four grandchildren, Mason, Morgan and Michael Mitchell of West Des Moines, Tessa Kauzlarich of Numa; a sister, Darlene Simms (Don) of Numa; a niece, Lisa Simms of Des Moines and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Mike Micetich. Mass of the Resurrection will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 14, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis Schaab C.PP.S officiating. Visitation will be all day Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in Numa Cemetery.
