Rodney Stevenson's Obituary
Rodney Stevenson, age 61 of Moulton, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Rodney was born December 17, 1953 in Centerville, Iowa the son of Carl W. and Cordia (Porter) Stevenson. After graduating from high school, he attended Indian Hill's Community College, graduating with an Associate of Art's degree. Rodney later attended the University of Iowa. Rodney worked for Collins Radio in Anamosa, Iowa and also farmed. He also worked for Warsaw Homes.
He was a Native American Shaman and liked to travel to the Lake of the Ozarks.
He is survived by two daughters, Lucy and Eva at home in Moulton, Iowa; a brother, Martin (Norma) Stevenson of Urbandale, Iowa; sisters, Marilyn Hoover of Centerville, Iowa and Sandy (Davis) Burgher of Mystic, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Bev Stevenson of North Liberty, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Carl Robert Stevenson.
A Visitation celebrating Rodney's life will be held Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 1-3 PM at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville. A memorial has been established to Rodney's children, Lucy and Eva, or to Cancer Research and may be mailed to the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
