Rodney McCleeary, 84 of Mystic passed away Monday, September 13, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Rodney was born in Des Moines on June 19, 1926 to Duke & Maria (Chris) McCleeary. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. Rodney was a forklift operator for Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed working on solar energy products, camping, watching the geese at Rathbun Lake and time spent with his family. Rodney is survived by his son Kevin L. McCleeary of Mystic, former wife, Phyllis McCleeary of Centerville, two brothers, Forest McCleeary of Des Moines and Butch McCleeary of Portland, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jim & Phil McCleeary. His body was cremated and no services are planned at this time.
