Rochelle Bates' Obituary
Rochelle C. Bates, age 67 of Centerville died Tuesday evening May 11, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
She was born August 7, 1936 near the Iowa Missouri line near Omaha, MO. the daughter of Walter and Lavena (Shadden) Mikels. She was raised in Appanoose County and graduated from Ft. Madison High School. She was married to the late Litel Jr. Bates.
She is survived by two children Rhonda Callaghan and her husband Bill of McHenry, IL, and Randy Bates of Round Lake, IL., two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and, a brother Ronald Mikels of Whitesboro, Texas and his wife Christine, two sisters Janice Golick and her husband Bob of Exline, Iowa and Viola Ruth Buban and her husband Bill of Mystic, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Friday morning May 14, 2004 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Marsh officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
