ROBERTA LOU ANDERSON Roberta Lou Anderson, daughter of Vurl and Marion (Marsh) Norris was born November 26, 1927, in Appanoose County, Iowa. She passed away January 26, 2015 at the Circle of Life Hospice in Chariton, Iowa, at the age of 87 years, 2 months, and 0 days. Roberta graduated from Seymour School in 1946. She then moved to Des Moines, Iowa and attended college at AIB and worked at Look Magazine. After attending AIB, she went to Simpson College and received her teaching degree. Roberta came home and taught in a country school near Derby, Iowa, for one year. The next year she started teaching at the Cambria School, and was there for six years. Roberta was united in marriage to Everett Anderson on September 24, 1949, and to this union two children were born. Everett and Roberta lived on a farm in Wayne County. They worked together with the field work and the daily demands of farm life. Roberta enjoyed the farm. She especially liked helping on the farm with the field work, gardening and canning, church, neighborhood clubs, and precious time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vurl and Marion (Marsh) Norris; husband, Everett Anderson; brother, Wayne Norris; and sister, Roma Durham. Roberta is survived by her sons, Lee David and John Norris Anderson (Cindy) of Humeston, Iowa; grandchildren, Tyler Anderson (Karey), Alek Anderson, and Carly Anderson; great-grandchild, Brody Anderson; also many nieces and nephews.
