Robert Wiley's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Wiley, age 86 of Noblesville, Indiana passed away in Turner, Maine on November 21, 2020. Robert Edward Wiley was born on June 12, 1934 in Moline, Illinois to Howard and Della (Blanchard) Wiley. He attended school in Illinois and Iowa and graduated from Allerton High School. He joined the Army on Dec 3, 1952 after graduating from high school. Bob was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he was a paratrooper and part of the 187th Airborne RCT unit deployed to Korea during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged from the Army on Dec 2, 1955. Bob was united in marriage to Doreene Rees in 1956 and the couple had three children: Cynthia, Michael and Susan. He worked as a General Manager in the food manufacturing business. Bob was baptized as an infant and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. His relationship with the Lord was very important to him. Two of his favorite bible verses were John 3:16 and Psalms 121. Bob loved the great outdoors; hunting, fishing and being with Nature. He was a devoted husband of 64 years, a father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved his family and his dogs. His character was impeccable, he had great integrity, was honest and very loyal and he had a tremendous work ethic and was a self starter. Survivors include Bob's wife of 64 years, Doreene (Rees) Wiley, son, Michael Wiley (Betty), daughter, Susan Greene (Tom) and several extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Della Wiley and daughter, Cynthia. Graveside service will be Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Allerton Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Palmer officiating.
