Robert C. Selvy's Obituary
Robert C. Selvy, age 66 of Lovilia, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born the son of Joseph D. and Nellie Wymore (Olmstead) Selvy on May 22, 1941 near Coal City, Iowa. He attended Moulton Community Schools.On November 14, 1959, Robert was united in marriage to Wandah Pace in Moulton, Iowa. They lived on a farm in Monroe County near Lovilia, Iowa for many years where he enjoyed his farming life. He had a love for tractors, especially the older models of Minneapolis-Moline.He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Martin Lee Selvy; sisters, Wanda Welch and Mary Nance; brothers, Gorden and Lowell Selvy.Robert is survived by: his wife, Wandah Selvy of Lovilia, Iowa; sons, Steven and his wife, Sherri Selvy of Albia, Iowa and Brian Selvy of Ankeny, Iowa; daughters, Kathryn Selvy of Lovilia, Iowa and Rebecca VandenBerg and her husband, Russ of Albia, Iowa; brother, Wayne Selvy of Warsaw, Missouri; sisters, Fern Meeker of Moulton, Iowa, Alma Ruth Camden of Knoxville, Iowa, Lois Lewin of Knoxville, Iowa and Linda Wemhoff of Moberly, Missouri; six grandchildren, Chris Selvy, Chelsey and Mikayla VandenBerg both of Albia, Iowa, Tara and Colton Selvy both of Albia, Iowa and Jacob Mundt of Des Moines, Iowa; great grandchild, Cheyenne Selvy.; as well as a host of nephews and nieces.Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 10 am at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia, Iowa with Rev. Kevin Lebeck officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa.
