Robert Mullin's Obituary
Robert Mullin, 86, of Brookville, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Heron Pointe Health Care in Brookville, Florida. Robert was born on February 10, 1929 to Vester and Myrtle (Taylor) Mullin in Centerville , Iowa. Robert joined the Army 1950 and served until honorably discharged due to having rheumatic fever. Robert married Delores Forbes in 1959. Robert worked as an auto mechanic and farmer for many years. Robert enjoyed spoiling grandchildren, helping others and participating in church activities. Robert is survived by his two sisters Norma Sparks of Centerville, Iowa and Ruby Ross of Unionville, Mo, three children; Lynn Stogdill of Brandon, FL, John Bechtelheimer of South Carolina and Debra Farman of Brooksville, FL, seven grandchildren; Debra Norris of Brooksville, FL, John Bechtelheimer of South Carolina, Shawnna Hardee of Florida, Robert Bechtelheimer of South Carolina, Laura Baggot of South Carolina, Paul Stogdill of Valrico, FL and Tammy Stogdill of Plant City, FL; 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores, brothers Ray and Wayne Mullin and sister Betty Clark. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Rev. Terry Chapman officiating. Interment will be in Haines Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials may be given to Lighthouse Church of the Nazarene in Moravia were Robert was a member and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com.
