Robert ""Bob"" Hulse's Obituary
Robert ""Bob"" Hulse, age 65 of Bloomfield, Iowa, formerly of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Sunday evening, July 12, 2015 under Hospice Care in Ottumwa, Iowa.
Bob was born on January 19, 1950, the son of Leo and Elizabeth Lu (Wood) Hulse in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He graduated from Wooster High School in Reno, Nevada, with the class of 1968.
He continued his education at the collegiate level, only for it to be interrupted by draft. Bob was drafted into the United States Navy. He served his country faithfully during the Vietnam War.
Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Bob continued his college education, graduating from the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in Business.
Bob loved reading his free time, especially Native American historical based novels. He was extremely proud of his Native American heritage. He also had a love for all animals.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Todey of Bloomfield, Iowa; four children, Tori (Nick) Beard of Nunnelly, Tennessee, Janelle (Nick) Hamilton of West Point, Iowa, Robert Craig Hulse of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jordan (Tegan) Hulse of West Des Moines, Iowa; a step son, Patrick (Christy) Todey of Burlington, Iowa; thirteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters; and an aunt, Sue Wood of Shell Knob, Missouri.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and two great grandsons.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 2-5 PM, at 25591 Harvest Avenue in Bloomfield, Iowa. The family has requested no flowers or tributes. Memorials have been established to the Companion Animal Fund, College of Veterinary Medicine, Iowa State University and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
