Robert Henderson's Obituary
Robert Henderson, age 53 of Centerville died Wednesday,November 26, 2003 at his home.
He was born February 2, 1950 at Centerville the son of Robert Henderson and Juanita (Wages) Carlstrom. He was raised in Centerville, and lived in Davenport, IA between the ages of 23 to 31. He served in the US Army In Vietnam and was the top marksman in his platoon, He had been employed by Shanahan Home Services. He loved sports, fishing, hunting and working on vehicles.
He is survived by 8 children Krisi Cooksey and her husband Derrick of Davenport, Shawn Henderson and his wife Misty of Missouri, Robert Henderson Jr. and his significant other Christina, April Henderson and her significant other Jessica, Scott Sloan, Dylan Sloan and Brandi Sloan all of Centerville, Kim Osborn of Missouri, a brother Jimmy Henderson and his wife Cindy of Centerville; sisters Venita Gatheright of Davenport, Liz Carlstrom of Davenport, and Teresa Blanton and her husband Doug of Virginia, a significant other Teresa Sloan, 10 grandchildren, 12 aunts and uncles and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son Billy Smith, his father Robert and his mother Juanita.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Tuesday afternoon, December 2, 2003 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating.. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Exline Cemetery, Exline, Iowa with military rites. A memorial has been established and may be left at the funeral home.
