Robert V Foster's Obituary
Robert V. Foster, 91, of Corydon passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Wayne County Hospital. Robert was born on February 18, 1926 in Newton, Iowa. He received his education from Baxter Community Schools graduating in 1944. On Feb. 17, 1948, Robert was united in marriage to Myrtle Rethmeier. Robert and Myrtle enjoyed living and working on the farm. Robert later worked for Townsends Engineering in Des Moines, Machine Products in Corydon, he helped Warren Relph in Cambria, and also worked for Ideal Ready Mix in Humeston. Robert enjoyed playing cards, dominos, gardening, bowling and visiting with friends and was a member of Kingdom Hall. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle of Corydon, three children: Susan Elizabeth Clark of Des Moines, Marvin Foster (Carla) of Cambria, Larry Foster (Donna) of Corydon, six grandchildren: Tonja Partridge (Joe) of Powersville, Missouri, Jay Foster (Leslie) of Corydon, Jeff Foster (Megan) of Allerton, Lance Foster of Phoenix, Arizona, Sable Foster (Ryan Gilbert) of Phoenix, Arizona, Zachary Foster of Chariton and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Bobbie Foster, mother, Inola Foster, grandparents who raised him Ben and Harriet Foster and son-in-law, Richard Clark. A celebration of life service will be March 18, 2017 at Walden Park from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Interment will be in Cambria Cemetery.
