Robert O'Dell Fincher's Obituary
Robert O'Dell Fincher, age 75, of Moulton, Iowa, died Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, Iowa. He was born the son of Homer and Ruby (Ayers) Fincher on February 28, 1933 in Kirksville, Missouri. He attended rural Appanoose County Country School.On December 7, 1964, Robert was united in marriage to Sandra Miner in Lancaster, Missouri. He worked for over 30 years for the Elmer Wood Company in Moulton, Iowa as well as being a farm hand on the Bob Ireland Farm near Moulton. He was a member of the Orleans Church of Christ near Moulton.He was preceded in death by: his parents; sisters, Hilda May Baker and Pearl Shirley; and a brother, James E. Fincher.Robert is survived by: his wife, Sandra Fincher of Moulton, Iowa; son, Bob Fincher of Bloomfield, Iowa; step-son, Rick Peel of Des Moines, Iowa; step-grandson, Travis Peel of Ottumwa, Iowa; brother, Eugene Fincher of Cantril, Iowa; half-sisters, Betty Green of Kansas City, Kansas and Elly May Harding of Kentucky.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Jerry Weller officiating. Burial will follow at the Hilltown Cemetery south of Moulton. Visitation will be held before the services on Wednesday, from 9 am till the time of services at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton.Memorials can be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
