Robert Bob Babbitt's Obituary
Robert Babbitt, age 63, of Unionville, Iowa died Monday, January 7, 2012 at his home. Bob was born on November 21st, 1949 in Centerville Iowa the son of Doyle and Joan (Myers) Babbitt. He was joined in marriage to Beverly Ann Smith on June 7th, 1969 in Unionville, Iowa. Bob worked at Curwood in Centerville, Iowa for 42 years and farmed as well. He enjoyed hunting, reading and his gun collection. He was a member of the NRA and the Appanoose County Extension Council. Bobs' true joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob is survived by his wife Beverly; children, Michelle Babbitt of Kalona; Shane Babbitt, of Moravia; Jamie Jo (Donnie) Hedgecock of Moulton; Grandchildren Tyler Senior (Britney) of North Liberty; Nick Senior (Amber) of Hawaii; Breanna Senior of Coralville; Gabriel Babbitt of Pleasantville, Alicia Smith of Sigourney; Jaime (Jess) Hutchinson of Lovilla; Danielle Harding of Ames; Konnr Hedgecock of Moulton; Dylan Hedgecock of Ottumwa, Brittany Hedgecock of Moulton; great grandchildren Daisee Senior, Ava Senior, Lily Senior, Jamison Hutchinson; and Brothers Wayne (Cindy) Babbitt of Mystic and Dan (Michelle) Babbitt of Moravia. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents Mervin and Dorothy (minks) Myers, Nancy (Bland)and Dan Babbitt; and son-in-law Tim Senior. Funeral services will be held 1:30PM Thursday January 10th, 2013 at Lange Funeral Home, Moravia with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Friends may call all day Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the Lange Funeral Home, Moravia with the family present at the funeral home between 6-8 PM. Burial will be in the Taylor Cemetery, East of Unionville. Memorials may be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544, or 103 N.
