RICK VORE's Obituary
Rick A Devore Rick A Devore was a man big in stature and had an even bigger heart. Like many of us he thought he never mattered, but he did. He touched many lives with his presence and he will be missed. He was the rock foundation for many that knew him. Rick was born October 26, 1968 at Unionville Hospital and graduated Seymour High School class of 1987. Even though he had the presence of being a lion he had the heart of a gentle spirit. He had wished that he would have children, but as time would have it that never happened. He had many jobs and worked with many people. Everyone always knew they could count on him to be there if he said he would. He grew up on a farm where he learned the meaning of hard work at an early age, helping his friends and family. Rick moved to Washington, Iowa and worked for the IPB meat packing plant. Later, he worked at Voltmaster Battery in Corydon and Young Liquid Grow and Rod's Construction and Excavation both in Plano. He helped in many church activities, building habitat houses, and doing repair work at the church. For a big man who was not fond of heights many times he would put away his fear to get the job done. Rick was a very decisive man, willing to put aside his own needs to help others. His parents Robert W Devore and Wortha May Conn Devore and brothers Wesley and Jeremy survive him.
