Richard Verslues Jr.'s Obituary
Richard Robert John Verslues, Jr., 72 of Centerville, Iowa, formerly of Unoinville, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Centerville Specialty Care. Richard was born in Virginia Fort Monroe on July 10, 1948 to Richard and Emma (Flores) Verslues, Sr. An avid attender and member of the Grace Bible Church of Green Castle, Missouri, Richard loved the Lord and read his Bible daily. He served in the Navy and the Army National Guard and was a marksman for the Guards. Richard is survived by his sons Chris Verslues and Daniel Verslues (Kim), brother Steven Verslues (Saundra), sister Melinda Verslues-Jackson, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Kimberley Verslues-Shuey. Cremation has been accorded and memorial services for Richard will be planned at a later date.
