Richard R. Oden's Obituary
Richard R. Oden, 64 of Exline, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Richard was born in Centerville on July 19, 1945 to Jack and Juanita (Dooley) Oden. He married Diane Wood on July 31,1965. She preceded him in death on November 18, 2003.
Richard received his education at Centerville High School graduating in 1963. He was a farmer and owner of Hill's Sanitation. Richard enjoyed farming, raising cattle, going to cattle sales, planting flowers, truck driving, traveling, playing the slots and his children and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his three children Brent (Julie) of Cincinnati, Bryan of Albia and Becky (Grant) Maxwell of Centerville. Eleven grandchildren Meghan (Juan) Decena of Centerville, Macey (Ryan Sacco) of Cincinnati, Madison, Mallory, McCain of Cincinnati, Bryer, Josie, Carley, Dugan of Cincinnati, Tori and Teghan of Centerville. One great grandson Abram Decena. Three brothers Jim (Pam) of Exline, Jack (Mary) Unionville, Mo., Paul of Cincinnati, two sisters Marcia (Doug) Prather of Russell and Cheryl (Jack) McHenry of Cincinnati, mother-in-law Norma Jean Wood of Des Moines, sister-in-law Patty Wood of Des Moines and many uncles, aunts, nephews and neices.
He was preceded in death by his wife Diane, his parents and father-in-law Jack Wood.
