Richard C. Henderson, age 61, of Centerville, Iowa, died Friday, November 5, 2004, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa. Richard was born the son of Clarence and Ruth (Bird) Henderson on August 5, 1943 in Los Angeles, California. He attended Exline Community Schools.On September 1, 1962, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Saldana in Exline, Iowa. Richard worked for over 21 years at the Benac Foundry and later worked over 21years at Young Radiator both in Centerville, Iowa. Richard had a love for old cars and enjoyed work and driving them.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn; a son, Joseph Leon Henderson; and a sister, Carolann VanderEcken.Richard is survived by: a son, Jeff Henderson of Centerville, Iowa; two daughters, Juanita Henderson and Jeana Stajcar both of Centerville, Iowa; a brother, Larry Henderson and his wife, Pauline of Centerville, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, with Fr. Ron Will officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2004 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the family present from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the Hospice of Ottuwma and can be can be left or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Richard C.
