Richard Roland Brown's Obituary
Richard Roland Brown, 89 of Corydon passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at Corydon Specialty Care in Corydon, Iowa.
Richard was born to Lawrence & Mary (Bevins) Brown in Tingley, Iowa on April 26, 1933. He received his education from Cambria High School. Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force. After four years in the Air Force, Richard attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah and received his degree in Range Management.
Richard was united in marriage to Jane Thomas in 1958 in Waukesha, Wisconsin.
Richard was employed with the US Soil conservation for 30 years; after which he retired and enjoyed traveling, music and time spent with family and friends.
Survivors include his sons: Greg Brown (Lenette) and Gordon Brown, two grandchildren: Brandi Spencer (Michael), Shane Watson; great grandson, Kolten Spencer, sister, Beverly Hart, brother-in-law, Robert Thomas (Carol), special friend, Larita Bozwell and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jane Brown and brothers; Bob and Dwight Brown.
A Celebration of Life will take place 1:00 pm, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service from 12-1 pm.
